ปัจจุบัน ปัญหามลพิษและฝุ่น PM 2.5 กลายเป็นปัญหาใหญ่ของผู้คนทั่วโลกรวมถึงประเทศไทย โดยในปี 2567 ประเทศไทยมีผู้ป่วยจาก PM 2.5 สูงถึง 1 ล้านราย และยังส่งผลให้คนไทยมีอายุเฉลี่ยลดลง 1.78 ปี ในขณะที่ผลิตภัณฑ์ที่จะมาตอบโจทย์ในเรื่องของการป้องกันและลดอาการเจ็บป่วยจากโรคที่เกี่ยวกับระบบทางเดินหายใจ เช่น โรคภูมิแพ้และหวัด ที่มีสาเหตุหลักจากมลพิษทางอากาศในปัจจุบันยังมีค่อนข้างน้อยและไม่ตอบโจทย์ในด้านประสิทธิภาพเท่าที่ควร

คุณจิรภัทร คาดีวี ซีอีโอและผู้ก่อตั้ง บริษัท ทรัพย์แสนบุญ จำกัด บริษัทที่เกิดจากการรวมกลุ่มของวิสาหกิจชุมชนที่ทำฟาร์มเพาะปลูกเปปเปอร์มินต์ออร์แกนิก มองเห็นถึง Pain Point ดังกล่าวจึงได้พัฒนาผลิตภัณฑ์ที่มีคุณสมบัติป้องกันโรคระบบทางเดินหายใจจากเชื้อไวรัสและแบคทีเรีย ที่เป็นสาเหตุของอาการโรคภูมิแพ้และหวัด โดยพัฒนาเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ในรูปแบบน้ำมันหอมระเหยเปปเปอร์มินต์ (Peppermint Oil) บริสุทธิ์ 100% ออร์แกนิก เพื่อนำมาต่อยอดเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ยาดมเปปเปอร์มินต์ และเครื่องดื่มเปปเปอร์มินต์ ภายใต้แบรนด์ “แสนบุญฟาร์ม”

“แสนบุญฟาร์มเป็นเจ้าแรกในประเทศไทยที่สามารถผลิตเอสเซนเชียล   ออยล์เกรดพรีเมียมที่มีความบริสุทธิ์ 100% จากการเพาะปลูกที่เป็นออร์แกนิก ซึ่งสารสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยจากใบเปปเปอร์มินต์มีสารสำคัญหลายตัว เช่น เมนทอล (Menthol) ให้ความรู้สึกสดชื่น ช่วยบรรเทาอาการคัดจมูก กระตุ้นการทำงานของทางเดินหายใจ ลิโมนีน (Limonene) ช่วยลดการอักเสบและส่งเสริมการทำงานของระบบภูมิคุ้มกัน และคาร์โวน (Carvone) ที่ช่วยเป็นสารให้กลิ่นหอมเย็นเป็นเอกลักษณ์ น้ำมันหอมระเหยเปปเปอร์มินต์จึงมีคุณสมบัติช่วยบรรเทาอาการของโรคทางเดินหายใจอย่างโรคภูมิแพ้และหวัดได้ดี”

น้ำมันหอมระเหยเปปเปอร์มินต์แสนบุญฟาร์ม ผ่านกระบวนการผลิตด้วยเทคนิคการสกัดร้อน ซึ่งเป็นเทคโนโลยีที่เหมาะสมกับการทำงานของกลุ่มวิสาหกิจชุมชน สามารถนำเกษตรกรหรือชาวบ้านเข้ามามีส่วนร่วมในการผลิตได้จริง เนื่องจากเป็นเทคโนโลยีที่คุ้นเคยและไม่ซับซ้อน โดยแสนบุญฟาร์มได้นำน้ำมันหอมระเหยมาต่อยอดเป็นผลิตภัณฑ์ยาดมเปปเปอร์มินต์ และเครื่องดื่มเปปเปอร์มินต์ รวมถึงผลิตภัณฑ์ในรูปแบบอื่นๆ อีกหลายรายการ ในส่วนของวัตถุดิบได้มาตรฐานรับรองการเป็นออร์แกนิกทุกรายการ และใช้โรงงานที่มีมาตรฐานรับรองต่างๆ อาทิ อย. และ GMP เป็นต้น

ปัจจุบัน แสนบุญฟาร์มมีพื้นที่เพาะปลูกร่วมกับเครือข่ายชุมชนในระบบอินทรีย์ฟาร์มจำนวน 50 ไร่ ตั้งเป้าขยายพื้นที่เพิ่มเป็น 100 ไร่ สามารถผลิตน้ำมันหอมระเหยเปปเปอร์มินต์เกรดพรีเมียมได้ 5,000 มล. ต่อเดือน ยาดมเปปเปอร์มินต์ 60,000 ขวดต่อเดือน และเครื่องดื่มเปปเปอร์มินต์ 10,000 ขวดต่อเดือน สำหรับการปลูกเปปเปอร์มินต์ใน 1 รอบ ต้องใช้เวลา 2 เดือน จึงสามารถนำใบมาสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยได้ โดยพื้นที่เพาะปลูก 1 ไร่ สามารถเก็บใบเปปเปอร์มินต์สดได้ 3 ตัน และนำมาสกัดน้ำมันหอมระเหยได้เพียง 3,000 มล. เท่านั้น ราคาประมาณ 12,000 - 15,000 บาทต่อ 1,000 มล.

ในอนาคต แสนบุญฟาร์มวางเป้าหมายจะเป็น “King of Mint” ในประเทศไทย มุ่งเน้นการทำตลาดทั้งรูปแบบ B2B และ B2C ผ่านช่องทางการจำหน่ายที่หลากหลาย รวมถึงการทำตลาดออนไลน์ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการออกบูธงานแสดงสินค้าเพื่อขยายตลาดสู่กลุ่มลูกค้าต่างประเทศ เช่น การร่วมงาน THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2025 และจากเทรนด์ของตลาดผลิตภัณฑ์เพื่อสุขภาพที่เติบโตต่อเนื่อง 15% ต่อปีจะส่งผลให้ธุรกิจมีโอกาสเติบโตได้ดีในระยะยาว

Creating a Unique Selling Point with 100% Organic Peppermint Oil
 
Today, pollution and PM 2.5 dust have become global problems, including in Thailand. In 2024, over 1 million people in Thailand have been affected by PM 2.5, which has also caused a reduction in the average lifespan by 1.78 years. Meanwhile, products aimed at preventing and alleviating respiratory diseases such as allergies and colds. These caused primarily by air pollution are still limited and often lack the desired level of effectiveness.

Mr.Jirapat Kadeewee, CEO and founder of Sub Sanboon Co., Ltd., a company formed through the collaboration of community enterprises growing organic peppermint, recognized this pain point. As a result, he developed a product capable of protecting against respiratory illnesses caused by viruses and bacteria, which are the main triggers for allergies and colds. The product was developed into a 100% pure organic peppermint essential oil, further expanded into inhaler and beverage formats under the brand “Sandboon Farm.”

“Sandboon Farm is the first in Thailand to successfully produce premium-grade essential oil that is 100% pure and organically grown. Peppermint essential oil contains several key active compounds, including menthol, which gives a cooling sensation, helps relieve nasal congestion, and stimulates respiratory function;  limonene, which reduces inflammation and supports immune system function; and Carvone, which helps to create a distinctive cooling aroma.These properties make peppermint essential oil highly effective in relieving symptoms of respiratory illnesses such as allergies and colds.”

Sandboon Farm’s peppermint essential oil is extracted using a hot distillation process, a technology well-suited for community enterprise groups. It allows farmers and local residents to actively participate in the production process, as the technology is both familiar and uncomplicated. The oil is then developed into peppermint inhalers, beverages, and a variety of other products. All raw materials are certified organic, and production is carried out in certified facilities, including those with FDA and GMP standards.

Currently, Sandboon Farm, in collaboration with its community network, cultivates 50 rai of organic farmland, with plans to expand to 100 rai. The farm can produce 5,000 ml of premium-grade peppermint essential oil, 60,000 peppermint inhalers, and 10,000 bottles of peppermint beverage per month. Each planting cycle takes two months before the leaves can be harvested for oil extraction. From one rai of land, 3 tons of fresh peppermint leaves can be collected, yielding only 3,000 ml of essential oil. The price of the oil ranges from 12,000 to 15,000 THB per 1,000 ml.

In the future, Sandboon Farm aims to become the “King of Mint” in Thailand. It will focus on both B2B and B2C markets through various distribution channels, including online platforms. The company also participates in trade shows to expand into international markets, such as THAIFEX   ANUGA ASIA 2025. Given the global health product market continues to grow at an annual rate of 15%, the business has strong long-term growth potential.
 
Innovation
 
This innovation lies in the production of 100% pure essential oil extracted from organically grown peppermint leaves. Cultivation takes place on smart farms managed by local farmers, and the hot extraction method preserves active compounds such as menthol, which offers a cooling effect, relieves nasal congestion, and stimulates respiratory activity, as well as limonene, which helps reduce inflammation and enhance immune function. The organic peppermint oil can also be developed into additional products such as peppermint inhalers and beverages.
 
Growth Plan
 
In its first year, the focus is on building brand awareness and executing diverse marketing strategies, such as establishing robust distribution channels and reaching online markets through multiple platforms. Sandboon Farm also plans to showcase products at trade events such as THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2025, to reach international customers.
